Terms of service

Plain terms for a small service. Using the studio means accepting them.

Last updated 2 August 2026

You must have the right to the photograph

Upload photographs of yourself, or of people who have agreed to it. This is the rule the studio states when you upload, and it is the one that matters most.

Do not upload a photograph of someone who has not agreed to be put in a generated picture. Do not upload photographs of children other than your own. Do not use this to produce images of a public figure, or anything intended to mislead somebody about what a real person did or wore.

Acceptable use

The studio is for seeing yourself and the people you know in clothes, for an occasion. It is not for:

  • sexual content, or images of anybody under eighteen in any suggestive context
  • impersonation, fabricated evidence, or anything meant to deceive
  • harassment, or images made to demean somebody
  • anything unlawful where you are

What a generated picture is, and is not

The studio returns a photorealistic picture generated by an AI model. It is a depiction, not a photograph of an event that happened.

Considerable effort goes into keeping your face recognisably your own — the identity is described in words and pinned into the prompt alongside the reference image, precisely because a reference image on its own does not hold a face. Even so, no likeness is guaranteed. Models drift. A generation may come back subtly or obviously wrong, and a fabric, a colour or a garment detail may not match the reference.

You own what you make with your own photographs, and you are responsible for what you do with it.

Credits

Work is paid for in credits. A new account is given free credits to try the studio, and further credits are bought as a one-off top-up. Prices are on the pricing page.

Credits do not expire. There is no subscription and nothing recurs — you are charged when you choose to top up, and never otherwise.

Credits are taken before the work is done and returned automatically if it fails, so a failed generation does not cost you anything. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable between accounts.

Sharing

Generated photographs are never public. A video clip can be shared, and only if you switch sharing on for that clip; doing so creates a link with a random, unguessable identifier. Turning sharing off kills the link immediately.

Availability and liability

This is a small service that depends on third-party model providers. It may be unavailable, and a model may be withdrawn or may refuse a request for its own policy reasons.

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to the amount you have paid in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Suspension

An account may be suspended for breaking the acceptable-use rules above. Where an account is suspended for anything other than abuse, unused purchased credits are refunded.
